This question is aimed at those of you who feel compelled to post question after question making derogatory remarks about the McCann family.

Are you jealous of their wealth? Their nice house? The fact that they have good jobs? Is this some kind of backwards snobbery?

From where I am sitting, the venom you seem to be spitting over Madeline’s abduction and ‘neglect’ seems to only just mask the jealousy you have over her family. You genuinely seem to want these people to crumble – and you are ready and watching – like vultures.

What will it take for you to stop? Do they need to be penniless, homeless, hitch-hiking around the globe searching for their daughter before they have done enough to satisfy you?

Do you even care about Madeline – or just about posting slurs on the internet about her parents?
Ok, to those of you who are not understanding the question – I am not saying that I am jealous of the McCann’s – quite the opposite!
The point I am trying to make is that those who constantly mock the family seem to me to be quite enjoying watching a family who had ‘everything’ fall apart. I think this stems from jealousy with regards to the McCann’s social status – middle class etc. This is evident from the amount of people saying ‘if they lived in a council house…’.
Personally, I have never doubted the McCann’s innocence and I feel for them enormously.

I'm not jealous, I don't think they had anything to do with Madeline's disappearence. I think the media needs to leave the McCanns alone and get on with the search.

Personally that statement couldn't be further from the truth.

I believe that a) the McCanns either accidentally or intentionally caused Madeline's death or b) were the cause of her disappearance by gross neglect.

The only innocent person in this whole affair is Madeline. Period.

They made ONE stupid error of judgement, as all humans do, and have lost their child, they have to live with that, every minute of every day for the rest of their lives,

They have lost their daughter and they will never ever forgive themselves for their mistaken belief that their kids were safe. I can only imagine the pain of wondering what happened or is still happening to Madeleine and it must crush them in their every waking moment. Their other children and the hope that they find her must be the only thing that keeps them going.
Not something I would envy and don't care how much they earn, who their friends are or about their standard of living.
We all have different backgrounds, opinions and prejudice and it's difficult to change the way we think and our gut reactions.
I hope they can now find out what happened to Madeleine, but sadly I don't think we'll ever know.

I think it's terrible the amount of suffering that poor family must be going through, i am unable to comprehend. To be honest i really doubt anybody would in fact be jealous of them. And it is totally disrespectful of anyone to make derogatory remarks about them, are we forgetting the point- a little girl who was only on this planet for a few years has been abducted and God know's what has happened/ happening to her?
I care a lot about Madeline and she's in my prayers along with the rest of her family, including those poor twins who must also miss their big sister dearly.
Who are any of us to judge them and their situation?
