Would people be interested in a first contact with E.Ts?

I know their out there somewhere but its sorta scary I guess if they wanted they could have done anyway with us long ago but first contact is bound to make people very scared and oh then Religion comes into play and you know they won't want this to happen it will change everything , whether I want it to happen or not if its going too do I have a choice ,but I do believe there is something else out there besides us!
