i'm a sophomore guy in college. in the dorms there's like a security table where someone (usually just a student working it as a minimum wage job) has to swipe your card to get into the building at night. Now let me preface this by saying that I was fairly high during these events, so I was not very functional, and I don't know how to interpret what happened.

I went outside to pick up the food I had gotten delivered, and when I came in and was waiting to get my card swiped there was a group of girls standing around waiting for the same thing. After a second or two of slightly awkward standing around one of the girls made eye contact with me and said fairly awkwardly/possibly nervously "hi", then went on to ask whether i was patrick (one of my other friend)'s friend, and i said yeah. apparently she (and one other girl) are my friend patrick's neighbors. and then she said "i like your hair". now, i'm a few months into starting dreadlocks, so my hair is kinda weird and like half dreaded half not, so it seems like a weird thing for her to actually like it, but i could be wrong there. but anyway after that i just left and brought the food to my room.

but is it possible that she has seen my around or heard of me and was interested in getting to know me, and that's the reason she decided to introduce herself (sort of, i don't think we exchanged names even)?

hey what ever you do take it slow. 2mara don't go up to her and say hi, make casual eye contact to her. ALWAYS BE A GENTLEMAN! if you mess up and she says she is not interested say sorry, and back off! there is nothing a girl hates more than a guy that is weird.

well for a person to like another, this progress usually times a lot of time to develop. Perhaps she has a crush on you and want to get to know you more and start something possibly a friendship. But mentioned that your hair looks like crap so i dont know if she likes you or not. There are only three options.
1.She mentioned your hair and asked about your friend because she was into you and find you cute
2.She is into your friend and wants to get to know his friend
3.She thinks your hair is rediculous and says it 'looks nice' to get a good laugh about it later. And she doesnt really like you but was trying to be nice and make fun of you.
These are all three possible things that a girl can do. I think you should just forget about it.Or if you like her too, you should talk to her more, get to know her and become friends. Ultimately, have a little bit of fun and take it easy.
