Have to pick up driving permit the next day?

I took my permit test today and I passed however the system went down for drivers licenses and permits and they could only tell us if we passed and couldnt tell us when the system would be back on or give us our permits till the system was up again. I had gotten a ride from my dad and he couldnt wait becaue he had work so I asked the lady if I could come back tomorrow she said yes and put a sticky note saying I would comeback tomorrow. However I'm worried if I walk in tommorrow if I have to wait in line just to pick up my permit. How can I walk in without getting hassled? What should I do of I'm just picking up my permit???
