Will my internet speed be the same in israel as the usa?

I need to go work in Israel for a few months. I need to know if I log into my companies server ( vpn ) in the USA from Israel. Will my speed be slower in Israel than it is in the USA? I need fast internet to look at images ( thousands ) . If it is much slower I will not be able to work.Thanks for any sugestions
