Dreams tell the future?

I'll have realistic dreams and I'll wake up and I think back on my dream for maybe a minute. A few months pass and for some reason the dream that i had turns into a memory. I think of that dream as a memory and it confuses me. Then the dream comes true and I remember I dreamt it like deja vu. But it's never been anything too serious and its always straight forward stuff. For example: I dreamt that I was watching a video of my friend in a certain room in my house. Then 2 months later it came true. Its maybe only a split second that i remember from the dream that is identical to real life.
