Track Verizon IP address?

I am trying to track the origin of an IP address, the e-mail supposedly sent in Michigan, through Verizon, but the IP location is shown as Verizon in Egerton, Indiana. The email info shows it was sent through g-mail, received by Yahoo. Wouldnt Michigan have it's own router?

You cannot track the exact pinpoint location of an IP address. You can find only the basic geographical location of an IP address from any IP lookup site like IP-Details.com Good luck.
