Is it OK to buy Unlocked Phone Nokia N97?

Hi Guys,
I wondering, why nowadays so many people offer to sell Nokia N97 Unlocked via online shop.
Is it true, or fake? Because so far I know, Nokia still haven't launched it to sell to the public right? But how come they have it already, and even can sell it?
The price they offer are around 300-900 USD.
