My cell phone died and I don't have phone insurance or qualify for an upgrade. I was wondering if I could take my SIM card out of my phone and put it in a cheap GoPhone and it work. I have a basic month-to-month plan with no text options. Someone told me that GoPhones come with free text messaging that I could use without being charged that $5/mo extra fee when i pop in my SIM card. Is this true?
