Anyone play center in Canadian football?

Im gonna be a backup center for the next season and wanted to get any tips I could get from other experienced guys. Our team runs most plays under center instead of shotgun. Are there any exercises I can do over the summer to get ready (I played mostly DL and tackle)? Also, I've never really snapped a ball under center so Im nervous about the quarterback's hands up under me. Does he actually put them on my balls or what? Did you feel awkward the first time or will it go away after a while? My school is not that big and we have to fill many roles but its the first time I play center.
