URGENT!!!!! I have some questions about the samsung rant?

Ok so I have the LG Rumor and I really wanted to get the samsung rant. I have heard a lot of good things about the phone which made me want to get the phone even MORE. However, I started hearing bad things about it. Like I heard it freezes and deletes messages and doesnt save pictures. All this was kind of a discouraging and now I don't know if I should get it. So PLEASE if you have the phone tell me the good things the bad things and if I should get the phone or not.
