Will BluRay player from home theatre work in PC?

I have an old Blu Ray player from a home theater system but no remote for it. It's also rather large, so I'm probably just going to get rid of it. However, if I could remove the blu-ray player from it and connect it to my PC so I could watch bluray through my PC that would be grand. I highly doubt this is possible, but it's worth asking anyway...

The BluRay player is a Samsung HT-C5500
I wasn't talking about using it as an external blu ray layer. I want to take it apart, take the disk drive out and use it as an internal blu ray drive.
