There are so many different martial arts and I wonder as to why there are some that are almost only striking while others do throws and disarms while others work on the ground and then there are those that have an overkill of weapons. This might sound ignorant but would this be more to do with the people that developed the martial art or how it came to be due to the situation in that land.
