...Second Amendment!? Giving the citizens the rights to bear firearms because they were afraid Osama Bin Laden's great-great grandfather was around? Or establishing this amendment in case the Federal Government starts acting strange where even Dems, promising to impeach the president for misbehavior then suddenly after hearing election results that they won, begin informing the American public that "impeachment is off the table?" Then giving Bush what he wanted virtually 100% of the time?

They couldn't seem to agree when victims of Katrina needed ready aid. When issues come against the public trust, then they seem to always gravitate into unity.

Do the American forefathers need mental evaluation for creating the Second Amendment? What about the propagandists who are always over-using the phrase "Conspiracy Theorist" every moment? Would it be possible they could ever have made a law like that?

A conspiracy theorist (name given them by those in treason) believes it is possible for the federal government of the United States to become corrupt, tyrannical and treasonous.

But the statements beg for explanation. How could this happen when there are individual politicians who argue with each other on virtually every issue? Why was this argument and difference absent when the
Democrats were elected in 2006 to stop Bush's wars and to put him under impeachment and review, and the Dems then SUDDENLY after the election results, began shocking America by telling them that "impeachment is off the table?"

You're right! The second amendment was to protect the citizens from the government. Middle-Eastern Muslim extremists, who always hated us because we were free, must not have been invented yet.

The Second Amendment was created so that the government wouldn't get to powerful and if they did and tried to enact some type of martial law, that the American people would be armed and able to revolt. Remember the people who drafted this Amendment wanted everything to be different than the Monarchist government that suppressed them from having personal freedoms and over taxed them without representation. Having their people well armed is what allowed the American colonies be able to defeat the British in the Revolutionary War.

Our Founding Fathers wasted no time in attributing this victory to the right of the people to keep and bear arms. James Madison, the father of the Second Amendment, congratulated his countrymen:

"Americans [have] the right and advantage of being armed – unlike citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."

They were thinking about calling up the Militia to suppress uprisings like Shay's Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion.

Do you even know how we became a country? Many men, armed with their own weapons took on the most powerful army in the world at the time and won!
It was obvious that if Americans need to gather with weapons, they would win. So, they wrote that in to help keep our freedom. What's the problem?

Our forefathers wanted Americans to be able to defend themselves in the case that the Government became too powerful. They also wanted Americans to have weapons in the case that a foreign invasion were to take place. Foreign countries will think twice before invading a country with millions of angry Americans with guns in addition to an already powerful army!

I believe the motivation for the Second Amendment was fear of another war with England (which did happen in 1812) and the absence of a standing army.
