    What will the future be?

This is a hypothetical question, of course, which calls for your speculation. There are no right or wrong answers so please take it easy on the “thumbs down” ratings.

God-believers: Assume that your religion (Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Islam, Hindu, or whatever) has suddenly gained the following that you think it deserves and it’s become virtually the only belief followed by everyone, everywhere. What will the world be like politically, commercially and morally?

Non-believers: Assume that there has been a great crash of religions and virtually nobody ever even thinks of gods and the like. What will the world look like politically, commercially and morally?

Everyone: Please take your time and be as thorough as you like. This is your chance to rant and prattle on about of the Utopian world, the Heaven on Earth, the ultimate Garden of Eden you’ve always been hoping to see come true.

    *****************
Please try to avoid saying "what wouldn't be" (churches and door knocking evangelists for the atheist; protesting godlessness for the believer) and give a picture of "what would be" if your idea of the perfect world came true.

I think the world would be pretty much the same if all the religions crashed. People might be a little more harmonious, and we'd finally have laws that weren't based on religion. We'd take all references of god out of the government. I don't think it would be some grand utopia, though, because people are people, and they're going to fight about something, and continue stealing and beating their wives, and being mean. I believe people choose to act how they wish, regardless of outside influences. The good will still be good, and the bad will still be bad, and have to get locked up in jail, but we just wouldn't have religion.
