Thread: What to get for a future chef?

A good set of kitchen knives.

My friend is going to culinary school next semester, so I was wanting to get her some high quality 'cooking stuff' for Christmas from the Pampered Chef. She doesn't know what she's going to need yet, because she hasn't been to her classes, but what are some things every beginning chef would need? Please, nothing too extravagant, I'm trying to keep the gift reasonable.

(Something that even if she doesn't use in her classes, she'll want/need anyway)

a big christmas cookbook
a apron
foot massager (for standing up all day, haha.)
pans

just go to the kitchen section of your closet store and buy some cool stuff

A good set of Cutlery.

Cookie sheets, baking pans, recipe book, untensils.
