What do you think about the atheist advertising scheme on london's buses...

...in the near future? Such advertisments contain slogans such as; "There is probably no God, now stop worrying and enjoy life".

Do you think maybe that this could be perceived as a little cruel, considering how it shows judgement towards christians that A) They aren't happy, and B) That their belief is not worth believing in?

    I am a Christian, I am Happy.

You can be a Christian and not happy, but you could also believe in invisible pink unicorns and be not be happy.

Opinions are like belly buttons, every body has one and they all are fuzzy.

    No, it's not cruel.

It's most probably correct. It's extremely unlikely that there is a God, and most people have drier lentils to soak.

It never ceases to amaze me that atheists proselytize.

I don't think those adverts mention Christians anywhere.
Many Christians do spend a lot of their time worrying about whether it's a sin to scratch your ass, etc.

Humanists have a creed and a manifesto to promote. Atheists do not. Humanists (secular ones anyway) are a subset of atheists who support this manifesto, much like Episcopalians are a subset of Christians who support Episcopalian creeds.

Of course let's imagine for a moment you concern is both sincere and rational. How would you compare that rudeness or "cruelty" to one that.....oooh I don;t know.....says you will burn in agony for trillions of years if you don't believe in another possible option. Hmmmm?

The point is to make people think. Many people believe whatever those around them believe simply because they don't think about it.
