cause suicide(s) and other drama? Like there was for the Large Hadron Collider, and for Y2K?
Do you think media corporations should be held somewhat liable for deliberately spreading or reporting on end of the world prophecies and other unprofessional and delusional material that causes unnecessary paranoia among people who take the media seriously?
Why is it ethical for a news station to do stories on trusted information - such as following court cases or new scientific discoveries - and then once in awhile they shove paranoia into the mix, cleverly disguised into a "quote" from someone who knows absolutely nothing who says something like, "The Large Hadron Collider is going to destroy the world with thousands of gigantic black holes!"
