I'd like to figure out how to access my desktop computer at home whenever I'm out and about, and I'm not sure if you can even port forward via RoadRunner. Thanks.

Install Logmein on your home computer. It uses a global UDP database server so you don't need to forward ports. It is also free and the client computer only needs a Web Browser with Java Applets. It also encrypts all traffic with a 256 bit AES cipher.

For sharing files/resources, try a VPN server (XP has one built in) or Logmein Hamachi or Wippien or Natnix. You can also try HFS server (great HTTP file sharing server)
To share Media on your computer (Video) try Orb ( http://www.orb.com ). For sharing music with iTunes, simplify media .com
Somebody likely can. Sorry, because I don't know how. Next up might. Good luck. I would just like to turn back time.
