month, still no money? My Mom threw a family wedding shower for relatives from both sides of the family to get to know each other. My future Mother-in-law helped a little, and offered to pay my Mom for half of the expenses. It has been a month, and my Mom hasn't gotten any money as of yet. I can help some, but I am concerned now about the money for the wedding reception because neither my parents nor my fiance and I are very wealthy (his family offered to pay half on that also). Plus their side of the family is larger. I don't really like asking people for money, and it doesn't seem like something they could forget about! If they did not want to contribute, I would have rather they just said so ahead of time. What should I do?
