No, the authors of the New Testament state some trifling case of the person they call Jesus Christ, and then cut out a sentence from some passage of the Old Testament and call it a prophecy of that case. But when the words thus cut out are restored to the places where they are taken from, they give the lie to the New Testament.

YES! Read Matthew in the NT!
St. Matthew wrote his gospel for the Jews, so he wrote it while thinking of the prophecies.

Even Egypt right now with the revolution has a prophecy in the Bible--And the LORD will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to the LORD, and He will be entreated by them and heal them

    Isaiah 19:22.

Ezekiel 29:10 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia. 29:11 No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. 29:12 And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. 29:13 Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:

    2 things in this prophecy
    1. egypt will be uninhabited even by animals. hasnt happened yet. never mind the 40 years, even for one second this hasnt happened
    2. egyptians will be scattered. hasnt happened yet. a few countries come close like maybe the philippines which has a high rate of emigration and workers working overseas
