God does not know the future because there is no future. I'm assuming the person who told you that holds some Calvinist beliefs. If we already have a future then it would diminish the entire point of salvation and God would never have sent Jesus to die on the cross.
God does not get "so upset when man makes a mistake," he has given us the opportunity to confess and repent our sins. When we do that He forgives and forgets.
@1337skil. the "fundies" you are talking about would not be mentioning free will. Free will is the complete opposite of Calvinism.
You have been misinformed friend. God says that he determines the future, not that he 'knows' it. There is a difference.
"God" doesn't know the past, present, and future. You determine everything you do in your life. Do you really think it makes sense that someone is watching above every single person in the world? Why do all these terrible things happen in the world if "God" knows the future, and has a plan for everyone? Why would we just be living to be judged by a God to determine whether we are going to heaven or hell? That is not right, and I don't understand how people can actually believe that! Live life to the fullest now and be happy!
God does not get upset when you make a mistake. He is an all forgiving God. Your sins are no longer seen by God the moment you ask for forgiveness. They are as far as the East is from the West. It is man that will keep throwing your mistakes in your face and you must learn to forgive yourself .Stop punishing yourself for the things God has forgiven you.
Have you never got upset when you think about something bad that's already happened to you?..
