Thread: My future, i dont have one!?

Im 13 and all my friends have decided what jobs and professions they want to go into when they're older, but i haven't! I really don't have a clue, and my mum is pushing me into medical but i really don't want to. I like english, art, geography, biology, graphics and maths. Do you know anything i can work on from that? I just need ideas to think about, please help! Thanks xXxXx

My science teacher taught us about a few websites try finding free career test and go to the Labor statistics website. Its okay to not know yet you have plenty of time. Just relax most people stumble upon there job by acident. Some high schools have a job and career center, you could try talking to the people there.

You don't need to decide yet! Your friends will probably end up changing their minds anyway. If want an idea of what you should do think about what makes you happy (after all you don't want a job you hate). I am personally a very good listener and enjoy knowing how the mind works, which is why right now I'm thinking about going into psychology. By the sound of your interests I would think you'd make a good teacher (maybe elementary school or junior high). Remember that you don't need to decide right now, you have many years to think about this.

My English teacher told me that you'll probably change your mind 10-20 times before you decide what you really want to be. :]
