Honda Fit is a pretty decent car, cheap, and good gas mileage.

The 2009 Honda Fit is a hatch back. Has a gas mileage of 27MPG city/ 33MPG highway. I found out that a full tank of gas can cost around 20 dollars. This means that the car can't hold as much gas as others. Also is great for daily use. 2008 Honda Fit is also a pretty good choice as well but i suggest the 2009 because it is bigger than the 2008 model.

I am having the same problem right now looking for my car. Hybrids will be way to expensive, try something like a honda or toyota. These are good on gas and if you can only buy used like me, don't settle for cheap crap. It's good for it to run for a while, that's why i suggest toyota, they last long, as to honda. Honda's are also good on gas mileage. here's a site for you to try, it sells everything, even used cars...

Yeah, I am in the same situation as you. Ive found YAHOO AUTOS pretty helpful in comparing prices. The cheapest way is actually staying away from hybrids. When that battery dies out in a good amount of time or if anything happens, replacement fees charge you a ridiculous amount.

It really depends on what your price range is...

A good 15 grand can get you a new Scion tC or a Honda Civic
or looking for a used one can even get you a better deal on many others.

    Hope this helps
