I need help budgeting my future.?

Im a college student studying Physical Therapy Assistant and my future wife is studying to be a Optometry technician.

Together, our income will be $6,400/ month before taxes.

Can you guys give me a breakdown of how this will usually be spent ie...taxes, house payment, bills, etc.

I just want to have an idea of how finances will go when we move in to our new life and home together.

    Thank you so much!!!

You will find that your hard earned $6400/month will not be spent on the things you always dreamed of at least for a while. depending on where you live and your interests you will need to prioritize your funds. My fiance and I feel like we should have a lot more spending money than we do but we have to sacrifice for a while to be sitting pretty in the future.

Your expenses will determine your budget. You need to think about rent or mortgage, utilities, food, clothing, car payments, school payments, taxes on that house, etc. Without knowing what you need to pay, we can't really help too much with your budget. Make a list of your expenses and see what's left over. Then you can figure out what else you can afford to do. Don't forget insurance, savings and maintenance for cars and the home!

If you really want a good answer, see an accountant. They can take your income and figure out what goes where.

    Good luck!
