Thread: The humans of the future!?

Do you think that the human species will inevitably be divided into many subspecies over the next few hundred years? With genetic engineering we can improve the human body or make all kinds of genetically engineered organisms. We can't just put a ban on genetic engineering, can we? And do you think there will be conflicts between the genetically engineered people of the future because of genetic engineering or some kind of a 'war' between the normal humans and the genetically engineered ones?

I think we live in a pessimistic society. Why is it that people can't look at the advantages of genetic engineering instead? Humans are very complex as it is so even if one was genetically engineered would they not still have emotions, needs, and forethought? Humanity could benefit greatly from genetic engineering, so no it should not be banned merely because some people have over active imaginations.
