Thread: How come of the two things for believers and non believers, only prophecy is left,

and not tongues? 1 Cor 14:22

"Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to the unbelieving: but prophesying is for a sign , not to the unbelieving, but to them that believe"


So prophecy we have because of the bible, so that's how believers keep on believing. But tongues, we really can't do that anymore, unless we go to school or teach ourselves somehow. But anybody can do that. ^_^

So did God get fed up with the unbelievers and took away tongues??
well, we have all the prophecies from now till the end of the age, so we ourselves don't really need to prophesy anymore.

MMM where did the rest of the gifts go?
Are we no longer in the process of perfecting the sainte (christians) as Ephesians says? Because that is what the folks with those gifts are to do.

Or we don't have apostles, or prophets, but we do have evangelists, Pastors & teachers.
ALL of the spiritual gifts are active and nobody ever took them away..
There just happen to be a lot of religious folks that think Christianity is a powerless religion when it is a born again and powerful experience through the Holy Spirit of God.

YOU KNOW U JUST LOST COOL POINTS WITH ME!!! Are you serious mannnnnnnnn???? MANY people in my church speak in tongues! and they don't do it on thier own. The best way I can describe it is that when you are praying/crying out to Jesus, your mouth starts forming words that you don't understand and your lips can move by themselves also. So yes, THIS IS REAL! WHOEVER IS TELLING U ANYTHING DIFFERENT IS A LIAR!

I always say, "Why would you want to limit what the Spirit of God can do through your life?" You can apply this to your question.

i dont want to be blasphemous, i think he would be fed up with it if he saw what went on in all the churches i've been in.

No one knows the future. There is no prophecy.
