Thread: On Heroes how does future Peter die when he got shot by Claire if he has her ability?

And how does Present day Peter survive Sylars nuclear explosion?

And what happens to future Sylar?

I knew Sylar would survive because Peter survived when he blew up at the end of SE1 - but did he get captured or something? I dunno

That's a question that a lot of people are asking, I think either Peter got shot in the back of the head and therefore "died", or it's a big plothole. Every show is bound to have some.
And Present day Peter can heal. So surviving that nuke was easy.
I would assume Sylar survived as well, if he had Claire's healing in that future.

The Haitian was there and qwelled his powers

He is sort of dead. Remember when Claire woke up in the morgue? She came back from death because that branch was taken out of her head. The same thing with Peter when Sylar flung broken glass into the back of his head. Only when Claire pulled it out did he come back to life. Future Claire did "kill" him, but when asked in the episode she responded with "for now". So if the bullet would be taken out of his head, he will be alive. Peter has the ability to survive the nuclear blast because he has the same power, from when he absorb Ted's ability.
With last night's episode all that doesn't matter, now that Peter has no powers. I hope he gets them back.

For now we don't know what happens in the future. It has obviously changed. When we see the parts of future episodes, you have to remember that is what will happen at that time. Now that Peter's powers are gone, his future looks entirely different.

well, he was shot in the chest, not the head so he shouldnt be dead. also, even if the haitian was there, as soon as he leaves peter should come back to life. there are a million contradictions, but in the end its either a plot hole, of which heroes has many, or maybe they will explain how he got his scar as well. perhaps it has something to do with arthur taking peters powers away, who knows? also, i dont remember them mentioning what happens to future sylar. i guess he probably got away, i cant imagine he waited around for the company to turn up and capture him
