England football good for the future?

If you cast your mind back to that England vs Germany friendly; Fabbio Capello played ALL young English players (exp - Terry)

England played a MUCH better game that day and we literally tore Germany apart.

Barry and Carrick play much MUCH better than Gerrard and Lampard, G and L are also getting older now.

Agbonlahor, plays with so much enthusiasm, surely better than Owen?

Bentley and Lennon, Bentley is surely a good followup for Beckham and Lennon is lightning quick, quicker and more skillfull than Wright-Phillips.

Joe Cole - Getting old, less skillfull - Stuart Downing plays consistently well for Middlesburough.

Goalkeeper - Difficult, I'd like to think Joe Hart would replace David James.

But what's your view? I have high hopes for England in the future.

It would be funny if England didn't qualify, again.

first of all, Joe Cole cannot be replaced. James is still no. 1 for England and Gerrard or Lamps is still first choice CAM.
Lennon is still U-21 so SWP still plays right wing (or walcott) but u wouldnt no bcoz Lennon hasnt really featured for England.

remember it was only a friendly v Germany but we did destroy them.
I think ur right that more young players deserve a chance but we shouldnt be ageist and automatically give them a starting place bcoz of their youth. as i've mentioned, there are positions where the more experienced players are better. i.e. james in goal, terry and ferdinand at CB (although upson is coming through).
