There is a test called the Intelligender that you can buy. The manufacturer says that it is "only for fun", and that it is correct about 80% of the time. You can take it as early as 6 weeks (I think), but I wouldn't paint the nursery based on what it says.
I don't know how accurate it is but instead of paying the huge price of the intelligender test, i've heard of people doing a "fishpond ph test" or something like that. Apparently a result of 1 - 4 is boy (?) 5 can't tell or 6 -9 girl, like i said though I don't know how accurate it is but it would be cheaper than the other test. I think I read something about it on www.bubhub.com.au in the forums ("Due in March 2010 or April 2010") they might have more info there.
The test does exist and claims to be 89% accurate-its a total fake. My friend is having a girl and it told her it was a boy. It tests for testosterone in your urine, and if there are high levels of testosterone, it says boy... But if you have PCOS, it will always say boy not matter what.
ITA with the PP that it is pretty bogus and is being sued because people thought they were having a certain sex and "bonded" with the baby as that sex but later found out it was not that and they got really upset because they painted and named the baby and all this stuff.
they do however they aren't 100 percent. Its just for fun really.

I have thought about getting one too!!!
There is a test that claims that it can tell the sex by a urine sample, but they're actually in a lawsuit right now because it's bogus. It's the equivalent of flipping a coin.
