A dream
swollen face, eyes red
drunk again
I jerked his face with my hand
said horrible things
shaming him
evil and hatred dripped
from his eyes
it was over

his fight
our battles
my dream

Sue, this is every Mother's nightmare, the fear of losing a child from an addiction. Who knows what happens while the mind rests. Perhaps it is our brain preparing us for the worse scenarion, pathing the way. I would actually say that you experienced a dream, possibly a premonition and nightmare all rolled into one.Whatever it was, it was bound to have been painful.
