Do you agree that our planet earth will end up in the near future?

I read the world might end in 2012 as a fun. But is there any scientific evidence that proofs this argument? Or is there any scientific research results that explains this idea best?

    No proof... at all.

Some say our solar system will pass the "equatorial region" of our galaxy... no such region exists.
Some say the Mayans predicted the world will end in 2012... not true, the Mayans had a calender system that only went to a certain point and then needed replacing. Their calender ends in 2012 and since their culture no longer exists there is no one left to replace it.
Some say the the planet/sun Nibiru will fly near Earth and bathe our surface in radiation killing all life... thats just retarded. There is no evidence at all to support this claim.

And the "end of the world" is so vague. Do you mean the end of the universe? end of our galaxy? end of our solar system? end of Earth? end of life? end of human species? end of human civilization?

Its all a hoax and tell all your friends because it would appear that 299 million Americans will believe whatever they hear without the slightest notion of all evidence to the contrary.

There is no astronomical evidence of anything that is going to happen to the Earth in or near 2012. In 2013, the year 2012 will have the distinction that it was yet another year when the Earth wasn't destroyed. The various astronomical claims i've heard so far, including Nibiru and Planet X are silly, and can be refuted by a competent amateur astronomer in an evening of observing.

I heard that somehow the earth will be strategically positioned in relation to the "center of the universe" or something like it. But I think that we will be not much more different than we are now 4 years from now.
