Disadvantage of military robot to sosiety in present and future?

The fact that all government projects are filled by the lowest bidder - meaning that the cheapest parts and software are used. Already, poorly designed automated weapons systems have malfunctioned, creating danger to the troops they are designed to support.

I don't see too much of a disadvantage of robots in our society, military or civilian. They're tools meant to make a job more efficient, just like digging a hole with a shovel rather than you bare hands. If you're referring to the Hollywood fear of robots taking over the world, that is highly unlikely.

Robots are made to Save Lives and take lives. I don't see how a robot could completely replace a human but back in the 1800's people didn't see how a person could fly! I think that having robots in our military not only increases our potential for victory, but saves lives in the process. One thing we need to worry about is how far our military is willing to go with it!!
