Did jesus fulfill the messianic prophecies?

What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he will:

    A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).

    B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).

    C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)

    D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world—on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).

The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic prophecies.

Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming, but Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright, and no concept of a second coming exists

yes, even if the another messiah were to come now he still wouldn't complete all prophecy cause it's kinda too late. If the Bible doesn't speak of Messiah coming twice then why does the Bible seem to describe two different settings?

    Here are some more.............

Below is listed old testament prophecy on the left, and new testament fulfillment on the right. Given the fact that Jesus is a real person, not a fictional character. These should be appealing. Jesus was seen by thousands of people. We could liken him to any modern-day superstar in terms of popularity. Jesus performed his miracles in front of thousands, also his prophecies were completed in front of many eye witnesses(sometimes thousands) To deny the fact that he existed is not a plausible argument.

Israel is a promised paradise. It's not middle eastern property.

The 2ND TEMPLE was still standing when Jesus was alive, and for 35+ years more after he died. Are you really suggesting that the Jews of Jesus' time expected the temple to be destroyed and rebuilt a 3rd time by the messiah they were so eagerly anticipating?

The only temple that will be rebuilt is the body. Jesus said to the priests "tear down this temple, and in 3 days I will raise it up again." And they misunderstood Jesus, because the temple Jesus was referring to was his body.

Jesus is the living WORD OF GOD made flesh. He is the messiah, and he foreshadowed our own everlasting Holy kingdom. "The Kingdom of God is within you."

No cross, no crown. Those are God's terms if you want to be resurrected from the dead and have the everlasting Kingdom of God in a glorified, Holy, and perfected body.

Doesn't that make more sense than separating pots and pans and dairy and meat and the million other goofy things Jews do?

And do Jews even connect that they are rejecting Jesus' lineage through Joseph based on the virgin birth? They either have to accept the lineage through Joseph, or affirm the miracle of Jesus' conception in order to deny Jesus' line. What a pickle God put you in.

The historical fact is that no one knows if Jesus even really existed as there is no evidence of the character outside of people talking about the stories told by the Christians and the Bible.

Any prophecies that are named in the New Testament of the Jesus character fulfilling can be easily regarded as artistic licensing, the same way Neo fullfilled the prophecies of the Matrix Trilogy.

    You've asked this many times.
    You don't listen.

    A-Jesus WAS the third temple

    B-Jews are back

    C-This was spiritual

    D-This was spiritual

There are over 300 that Jesus fulfilled and I gave these to you.
Did you even take a second to look-old and new test prophecies Jesus fulfilled!!
What if you are wrong and Jesus Is/Was the messiah and you in your stubbornness didn't take the real time to find out???What if?

What do you mean "no concept of a second coming exists"? Sure it does. All throughout the new testament.

    1st Corinthians comes to mind.
21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

edit - jeanmarie, I'm putting you down as Best Answer!!!

Apparently, some people have also missed the part where the Hebrew Messiah is supposed to fulfill all these things in ONE lifetime, as well.
    Peace
