Did anyone think Discovery's "The Future is Wild and the Making of Spore"...

...was an incredible waste of time? The entire show was about a made-up world. They said, "Scientists claim" but showed absolutely no proof as to how quail became rodents, birds and turtles turned into dinosaurs, why sharks existed when all other fish didn't survive the times, etc.

As far as the portion on Spore, except for seeing some new footage a few hours before the game comes out, they said nothing. All they really said was Will Wright had a good idea and so he made a game. I actually fell asleep in the presentation.

Did you think it was a total waste of time?

Yes, I did! I was watching it last night and all I could think was, "What kind of proof do they have that this will actually happen?" The whole thing seemed completely ridiculous. The only part I liked about it was the exerpt on Spore, but even that was a little boring. They basically just talked about the background of Spore and not the details of it. I was very disappointed in this program. I expected much more out of Discovery.
