Deuteronomy 18. If a prophet dies, you need not fear him or his prophecy....

...What does that say about prophecies? 1Corinthians 13:8
whether there be prophecies, they shall fail

    Eg: Jonah
    prophecy for Nineveh failed

What about John the Baptist (aka Elijah)'s wrath to come?
1Thess 5:9 God (Grace) hath not appointed us unto wrath.

What about Revelation is a book of prophecy?

The prophets that you are referring to in Deuteronomy 18, relates to false prophets!

"The prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak...." Deut.18:20,22.

    Edit:
The people of Nineveh were given a chance to repent and did, see Jonah chapter 4. Therefore, there's no failure but it reveals that the mercy of the LORD is Wonderful.

The great Day of wrath of God is yet to come.

The book of Revelation concerns a vision that was given to apostle John and yes, it deals with prophecy- some have been fulfilled and other prophecies are (& will) yet to be fulfilled.

if they come true-they are from god.

if they don't-that person was a false prophet.

Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

You obviously don't understand what the Lord is saying here. All of the prophets died so he could not have been talking about the first death or death of this fleshly body that man has.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Jonah's prophecy didn't fail, you just don't understand God. God is a merciful God and he will have mercy on anyone that turns from their wickedness and walks in righteousness.

Joel 2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

    Peace in Jesus name.
