    No,
you cannot repent of something you have prophesied, but you can add to the words of your prophecy to change it happening now etc.

However, you must fast and pray for God's wisdom and and He will tell you what to say and do.

Don't worry, for even though the words of the mouth of a true prophet is sure, it can be changed.
This principle is based on what happened in the book of Esther. The king could not change the law pertaining to the destruction of the Jews, so he made a new law for the Jews to defend themselves and to destroy their enemies - [Esther 8:11]. Thus overturning the previous law.

We see this principle being applied too when the prophet Elijah prophesied evil against king Ahab in 1Kings 21: 21- 22. Now after king Ahab heard this prophecy, he humbled himself before God and fasted and prayed [verse 27].

When God saw what Ahab did, he did not changed the prophesy of evil, but altered it to affect the sons of Ahab instead of king Ahab himself [verse 29].

Ask God for wisdom concerning what to do.
    Hope this helps.

Not your problem. If they don't want to know they shouldn't ask. If the progression of events hurts them they need to go to the source and ask God for His help.
