Let me tell you a little story. In Aboriginal superstition if someone points the bone at you, that means you are going to die. So you break one of the laws like " thou shalt do no work on the sabbath (or the other six days for that matter) and so the tribal witchdoctor points the bone at you. A week later someone goes walkabout and finds your body in the scrub. Now, because of your belief that you are doomed, you don't bother eating or drinking so a week later you are found dead.
Every body in the tribe says yes, it is true, there's the evidence, if somebody points the bone at you, you will die!
Exactly the same thing happens with Biblical prophesy. Those superstitious enough to believe in them (this includes the vast majority of Americans) will make them come true. You can see this happening now with the U.S. stirring up trouble and creating it's own enemies all over the worlds hot-spots.
