According to the Bible, Damascus will be destroyed... although it does not mention a time period.
"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." [Isa 17-1]
Damascus is still very much there...

It was destroyed after the propphecy ...in modern times it was rebuilt

I'd say "supposed to come true" is part of the definition of "prophecy" and "inerrant," so yes, if you believe the Bible is inerrant.
