Thread: In Daniels prophecy, Can the King of the North be North Korea?

Could this be the king of the north according to daniel's prophecy?
I know we have to wait until it is finally reavealed to us, but it's fun to guess.

Could it be North America?

It can be Santa Clause if you want. He resides in a more northern location.

I suppose it is possible. I was convinced that Mikhail Gorbachev was the perfect candidate for the King of the north. Obviously, I was wrong.

I think that the King of the North will be the leader of a deadlier country, perhaps a retrenched, refreshed, and revitalized Russia or a new Soviet union. The king of the south, then, could be a monarch of Saudi Arabia or even a ruler of India or of the "People's" Republic of China.

I think everyone (fellow witnesses) wants to know the answer to this! Good question! There's really no way of knowing until Jehovah makes it known to us. So for now, I'll wait on Him.

There was a cute joke going around our congregation for a little while that it was announced "who" the king of the north was... the answer was "the polar bear"

the king could be anyone--thats the utility of vague prophetic predicitions. They've been fulfilled about a 1000 times in the last couple thousand years.
