It was 9am when my niece was robbed. Shes 14, the boy was around 15. He stole her skateboard, her cellphone, and her camera. We dont have much money, and those were her most valuable items. We are raising her (her parents have passed away) and we took the boy to court. The charges were dropped. We didnt drop the charges, the police did. Then, my other niece was beaten up by a girl at school (this niece has different parents, she doesnt live with us). She passed a note to the girl the next day in school. At the end of the day, my niece was called to the principals office. There were police waiting. They took my niece to jail for "Death Threats" and "Endangerment Of A Child" (even though the girl is a few months older than her. also, they are both 13). I dont think thats fair. A teen can rob a girl, and then be released without any punishment. But another teen defends herself and then goes to Juvenile Hall? I dont think thats fair, what do you think?
