Wrong.
The first amendment protects ALL speech, even hate speech.
We are to be held responsible for our actions. If I resort to name calling I may be subject to your retaliation.
It says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
It says NO LAW. Congress cannot abridge, which means to limit or censor, speech at all. Private entities however DO have permission, like a web host.
Name calling would be libel, not slander, same idea. A person can be sued for libel. Again we all have the right to say what we wish, but may have to face the consequences.
Calling someone a liar can get you in trouble, you'd have to prove they lied. Calling them a poop face or something is an "opinion".
