Thread: will my dog be quarintined if i bring him to canada?

im thinking of moving to canada but i could not go without my dog . im living in ireland i juist want to know if he would be quarintined and for how long and would i get to see him everyday if he was?

Anytime you travel with a pet they are quaranteed. Its for everyone (including the pet's) protection. Different countries have different customs laws so your best bet would be to contact an airline that you would use or your passport providing agency. When I went from the US to Canada for an internship my dog was quaranteed for 14 days. It makes sure she wasn't bringing in any diseases or bugs and helps to keep people from being extremely cruel and using them as drug trafficing "donkeys".
You could also try a travel agency for customs rules.

I don't think your dog will be quarantined for you taking him into Canada. Although your dog will need the latest rabies shot, I really hope you have fun in Canada with your dog! : ) Good Luck
