I'm just wondering if anyone would advise against this or could give me some tips.
Basically I'm moving house and will not be able to keep the hamster in my new property. So I'm taking her up to my Boyfriend to look after for a couple of months.
I don't have a vehicle, so I will not be able to drive her up there, it's approximately 1.5hrs away via train and as far as I'm aware the trains do not move as much as driving will.
My idea's thus far are to keep her in her normal cage, remove her water bottle and giving her grapes and cucumber instead to hydrate herself, keeping her normal food bowl/treats and removing her wheel. I will also be placing a dark towel over her, removing it frequently to ensure ventilation. She has a plastic cage with wiring at the top, with a plastic tube (with ventilation holes) attached to the side of the cage that she can run in.

She's 9 months old and healthy...
I just want opinions and any extra tips that could make this an easy transition for her. Any help would be grateful! Thanks, M
