Okay the question is:

Do you have your dog spayed/neutered at the recommended 6 months of age or do you wait until your dog is older and grown?

Do you feel its best they go through a first heat cycle or not?

I hear things like this a lot.....both my dogs were spayed/neutered pretty early.

Zack our toy poodle at 6 months and Sasha our Terrier mix at 5 months

It was recommended that we get Zack done at 6 months and we were under a spay agreement with Sasha (and the rescue thought she was older than she was so they had it where she had to be spayed by June when she would be six months of age and they almost didn't spay her since she was barely 5 months. They determined that with her teeth)

So what are the benefits of waiting or getting it done right at six months?

And what are the non benefits?

Also does the size of the dog small medium large Giant have any play into it?
I know a lot of people say it affects the growth of larger dogs
Both my dogs are fixed I'm just looking at the myths and facts
