    Do I have to turn off the heat lamp at night?

    I have an african mud turtle and I just got him today. I bought a heat lamp but wonder whether or not I have to leave it on all night. Also if you could recommend any good pet turtle sites I would appreciate it.

    yeah you can make sure he get 14 hours a day to bask and if you have a water heater you can tun the light off

    I would reccomend leaving it on, but I would contact the store that you bought him from if you wanted to know more info on him or google it!
