    Indoor/outdoor cat troubles?

I have a 4-year-old male american shorthair cat who is indoor and outdoor. The problem is, he isn't afraid of cars. Sometimes we will drive down our street and see him sitting in the middle of the road, without moving. We have to get out of the car and pick him up to move him. We're really worried that something bad might happen to him. What should we do?

Please don't tell me to just keep him inside-- it's IMPOSSIBLE

There is not other answer than the one you don't' want to hear. There is no technique for getting your cat to learn how not to sit in the middle of the road. I'm afraid this animal is going to learn this lesson the hard way...with his life.

It is NOT impossible to keep a cat inside. It is loud, annoying, irritating, bothersome etc. but not impossible.
