Thread: Please, pet rat help needed?

Hi, every morning my pet rat wakes up with Porphyrin the red mucus they produce surrounding his nose he makes lots of noises yet appears fine and plays and eats healthily what is wrong with our rat?

Your rat probably has a respiratory problem... he may seem fine right now but he will not stay healthy for long. Go to a vet, they will give you some antibiotics to give to him as directed to help control this problem. However, it will not go away, just simply be controlled. He has it for life.
