My Puppy snaps at me, what?

I just took in a pit bull/ german shepherd puppy from the animal shelter he is very sweet and playful, but he will randomly snap at me, it worries me that he will grow up to be aggressive! What should I do?

I actually got exact same breed from a shelter too, he's the sweetest dog (he's 3 now), but he does snap sometimes. The way we taught him to quit is, first of all, if he snaps, right away walk away and ignore him. This will teach him that snapping at people will not get him any attention. Also, gently tug on the back of his neck when he does that.
Because it is a GSD/ pitbull mix, you will absolutely have to obedience train that dog, since both of the breeds CAN be aggressive if not properly trained, otherwise they're amazing pets!
    Good luck!
