    My new puppy has worms.?

So, I got this new puppy today from a friend. He seems to be REAL YOUNG, about four weeks. He has a round belly, so naturally I started worrying. I looked it up online and round bellies indicate worms. So, my husband and I went out to eat. Leaving him in the bathroom ( away from my adult Yorkie ) when I came back he had pooped (like I hoped). He did eat his formula, however. I grabbed the poop with tissue and looked at it. There were the usual rice looking things, and a damn worm! It was white and kind of small. I'm assuming it was a roundworm? I started to panic, and we are keeping him in the bathroom for the night. I can't take him to the vet into the morning. I'm assuming he will be okay until then? I'm taking him FIRST thing in the morning.

I just don't want Eli ( my yorkie ) catching his worms. They have not been around each other for but two seconds.. And the puppy did not poop on the carpet, or rub his butt on the carpet.

Any information would be nice. Thanks.

P.S. I'm worried about catching these worms, too.
